Prime Minister the Honourable Dickon Mitchell, left the state today, 14 December 2023, to attend a meeting of the Presidents of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.Â
The meeting will be held in St Vincent under the auspices of Caricom and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) surrounding the Guyana-Venezuela border controversy.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Hon. Joseph Andall, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and are both scheduled to return later this evening following the meeting.
Honourable Dennis Cornwall, Minister for Finance, will act as Prime Minister in the absence of Honourable Dickon Mitchell.
