The Grenada Bodybuilding, Weightlifting and Fitness Federation (GBBWF) is thrilled to announce a series of school visits aimed at educating and inspiring the youth of Grenada.
The first stop on this exciting journey was at the St Andrews Anglican Secondary School (SAASS) on Wednesday, 1 November.
The purpose of these visits is to introduce the Federation to the student population and shed light on its pivotal role and mandate. During these engaging sessions, students including but not limited to athletes in the various sporting disciplines can look forward to seminars, Q&A sessions, and an exploration of the fundamental aspects of the sport. This will include sharing with the students the fundamentals of strength training, nutrition, supplementation, injury prevention, and the benefits of leading an active lifestyle. Our goal is not only to educate students about these subjects but also to inspire them to take an active interest in their health and fitness.

On Wednesday, over 30 students including members of the senior football team at SAASS attended the session, facilitated by members of the Federation including strongman and Vice President of the GBBWF executive Marcus Alexander, retired strongman and coach Elvin Pope, and retired bodybuilder and trainer Percy Morris.
This initiative forms part of the Federation’s commitment to promoting physical wellness and fostering an understanding of bodybuilding, weightlifting, and fitness especially among the youthful population. It promises to be an insightful and educational experience for all involved.
