The Rotaract Club of Grenada is pleased to announce the return of its Annual Spelling Bee Competition, which is in its 32nd season.

This year’s competition is being put on in partnership with The Communal Co-operative Credit Union Ltd.

After a brief hiatus brought on by industrial action and the Covid-19 pandemic, the Rotaract Club of Grenada and Communal Co-operative Credit Union Annual Spelling Bee buzzes off on Monday, 17 April 2023 with the Preliminary Rounds of the competition held at the district level. The top 3 schools from each district would then advance to the Semi Final round on Saturday, 29 April 2023, with the Finals being held on the same date.

This competition is the only one of its kind and invites 5th grade students from the nation’s primary schools to vie for the coveted title of Best Speller in the country. There will be attractive prizes for the individual winners as well as their school.

Registration for the Rotaract Club of Grenada and Communal Co-operative Credit Union Annual Spelling Bee closes on Friday, 17 March 2023. All primary school principals are encouraged to monitor their e-mails for competition information and to utilise the attached link to register their school’s participation.

The Rotaract Club of Grenada extends its sincerest gratitude to The Communal Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. for their gracious support in being this year’s title sponsor for the Annual Spelling Bee Competition.

All queries regarding the staging of this year’s Spelling Bee Competition may be forwarded to [email protected] for the attention of Vondi Cyrus, President, or Sheriece A.R Noel, Director of Professional Development.

That’s great but we have to try and encourage our young people to learn to speak properly.
