Grenadian national Crystal Braveboy-Chetram is a recipient of a 2022/2023 Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship award.
Braveboy-Chetram has travelled to the United Kingdom to commence her studies at the prestigious University of Cambridge, where she will undertake a Master of Law degree with a focus on international trade and commercial law under the development theme ‘Promoting Global Prosperity’.
Braveboy-Chetram’s award is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), as administered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), in partnership with the Cambridge Trust. Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, by attracting individuals with outstanding talent and identifiable potential from all backgrounds and supporting them to become leaders and innovators on returning to their home countries. The CSC’s work combines sustainable development with the UK national interest and provides opportunities for international partnerships and collaboration.
Braveboy-Chetram is an Attorney-at-Law with 4 years post-qualification experience. She hopes to acquire enhanced legal knowledge and skills to enable her to make a valuable contribution to national and regional sustainable economic development. On completion of her studies, Braveboy-Chetram will return to Grenada to serve, putting into practice the knowledge and skills gained.
