  • Mixed groups that cannot be separated will be treated as unvaccinated
  • Health officers at Ports of Entry can refuse suspicious documents presented
  • Groups include family members from same household, friends, or strangers travelling together

Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Shawn Charles has explained that although there is now a policy that fully vaccinated persons entering the island will only spend 48 hours in quarantine, people travelling as part of a group with unvaccinated people must comply with the protocol that requires testing on the 5th day.

“There are persons who are not vaccinated, and they do not carry the same level of protection against the disease. That is why if you have a mixed group and they cannot be separated, they have to treated as unvaccinated,” Charles said, explaining the rationale for classified some vaccinated people as unvaccinated. Groups include family members from the same household, friends, or strangers travelling together.

“We examine all vaccine cards at ports of entry and our health officers have the right to refuse that document if they think it’s not authentic. In addition, any document we believe that is not authentic, we will follow up with the issuing country, with the issuing agency, while that person remains in quarantine,” he said.

“We also test all these individuals; these individuals get a PCR test on arrival,” he said, confirming that the cards that are issued by Grenada can also be subject to scrutiny by other states, and once an inquiry is made, the answer will be provided easily because the names of all individuals who receive the Covid vaccine is logged into a system.

“Questions as to whether someone from Grenada is vaccinated or not, they can simply make a call to us,” he advised.

More than 13,000 citizens have already received their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine while a little more than 3,000 have received both doses.

good question – I hope that does not apply to family groups with unvaccinated children

This completely applies to unvaccinated children. I’m here now and everyone in my group is vaccinated except my 6 y/o daughter and 1 y/o son. Because my daughter is older than 5 and not vaccinated our entire group is treated as non vaccinated. If I had realized this I may not have chosen Grenada. We’re stuck in our hotel. Please spread the word.

Can I ask how quickly you received your results after testing on day 5. We are in a mixed party and same as you children unvaccinated.

May I ask what the criteria is for people who are exempt from wearing a face mask and having the vaccine?
At this time, overseas travel is prohibitive for me due to the loss of airlines and reduced flights.
Should this situation change, I am interested to know what criteria Grenada is implementing.

so if I come to Grenada with my vaccination card showing that I have had both vaccines I still have to quarantine and get tested?

I would hope so…. a fully vaccinated individual can still contract the virus and spread the virus in a country like ours who’s citizens are not vaccinated. Vaccinated persons have a false sense of security. You have the vaccine so you are less likely to die if you contract the virus and that’s it.

Does this include children in the group? Children are not currently being vaccinated.

    • Adam Mace says:

Doesn’t matter that children aren’t able to be vaccinated. The only exempt group is children under 5. Read my other post above. We’re stuck in quarantine despite being vaccinated because my 6 y/o daughter isn’t/can’t get vaccinated.

“There are persons who are not vaccinated, and they do not carry the same level of protection against the disease.”
Absolute Rubbish….you are making up bullshit and denying the facts .

The best of these Experimental Vaccines…..allegedly is 95% effective.
Yet ….Our God Given Natural Immune System is 99.97% effective. Imagine that.
Only 0.03% of people are at risk from SarCov2.
Everyone can easily boost their Immune System with Zinc, Vit C and D3 or if necessary use HCQ and Ivermectin to kill the SatsCov2 Virus.

So how does taking a risky experimental Vaccine provide more protection than Natural Immunity?. You are simply making this up!
This entire over the top nonesense Vaccination and Quarantine policy only demonstrate….
Yet more power drunk psychos and tyrants trying to play God again.

So what we now have is a system open to violation by those who can infiltrate the core.
We live in a very corrupt society whereby money and power goes hand in hand so we know that if you don’t want to take the vaccine but want the freedom to move about, then it is now down to who you know and how much you are willing to pay for this privilege.
