The Grenada Co-operative Bank Limited and The Grenada Union of Teachers (GUT) are proud to strengthen their ties and provide favourable benefits for further development of teachers.
At a ceremony at the bank’s head office on Wednesday, 21 March 2018, the organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding which provides preferred terms and conditions to members of the GUT and their spouses when seeking credit facilities from the bank.
Signing on behalf of Co-op Bank was Managing Director Richard W Duncan, while President of the GUT, Lydon Lewis executed on behalf of the teachers. Lewis expressed his appreciation for the mutual benefits currently enjoyed by both organisations, and his desire to see that relationship be strengthened even further in the future. Duncan reaffirmed his commitment to support teachers and education in Grenada, by providing easier access to financial solutions which best suit the needs of teachers, for their advancement.
Grenada Co-operative Bank has been consistent in its support for educational initiatives in the local community over the years. The Co-op Bank National Primary School Sports which recently concluded is proudly sponsored by the bank annually. Similarly, the SGU Knowledge Bowl, has been supported by the bank since its inception.
