EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK

VACANCY

Administrative Officer
Human Resource Department

Suitably qualified citizens of member territories of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) are invited to apply to fill the post of Administrative Officer, Human Resource Department, at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, headquartered in Basseterre, St Kitts. The successful candidate will be based in St Kitts.  All applicants must complete the ECCB Employment application form which is available on the ECCB’s Website (www.eccb-centralbank.org) or at the ECCB’s Office in the respective territories. 

 

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE

  • A first degree in Humanities, Management Studies or Human Resource Management
  • Working experience in the area of benefits management particularly health and insurance
  • A background in general nursing

 

Possession of any or all of the following would be considered as assets:

  • Relevant work experience in a generalist human resource environment
  • Familiarity with Information Systems/databases including Human Resources Information Systems

 

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques include but are not limited to:

  • A flexible, proactive, problem solver, who copes well with ambiguity and can adapt to a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong analytical abilities
  • A team player who exhibits leadership qualities
  • Strong administrative, interpersonal and facilitation skills

 

DUTIES

The Administrative Officer will be directly responsible to the Director, Human Resource Department for the performance of his/her duties, which will include:

 

  1. Collecting and analyzing relevant human resource data that can inform policy decisions of the organization
  2. Leading and managing the Bank’s Group Life and Health Insurance functions
  3. Planning, designing, and implementing informative sessions on the area of health and wellness to improve the overall well-being of Bank Staff
  4. Other related duties as may be assigned by the Director, Human Resources Department

 

SALARY

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
