A 31-year-old Storeroom Attendant has been charged for the offenses of sexual assault and extortion. The charges were laid against Rashid Juerakhan of Diego Piece, St Mark, after claims that he obtained monies from a teenager through extortion and also sexually assaulted the victim.

A St Paul’s (St George) resident will appear in Court on 22 March 2016, charged with stealing a quantity of US currency at a money transfer agency. Shelisha Bishop, 33-years-old, was arrested within hours of the reported theft on Thursday, 18 February 2016. Bishop was conducting business at the Agency, in downtown St George’s, when she allegedly stole the money from another customer. She was granted bail in the sum of $4,000 with one surety. She will appear at the St George’s Magistrate’s Court at 9 am.

An investigation into the disappearance of a quantity of goats has led to the arrest of two Beaulieu, St George, residents. Michael Abraham, 56-year-old Shopkeeper, and Ray Victor Edwards were charged in the stealing of 22 goats valued at $12,000, which occurred between 1 and 6 February 2016. Both men are due to appear at the St George’s Magistrate’s Court on 5 April, after posting bail in the sum of $20,000 with 2 sureties each.

A Springs (St George) resident has been arrested and charged in a local school break-in. Kent Lewis, 35-year-old, was slapped with the charge on Thursday, 18 February 2016, following the late January report of a break-in at the school. He is also charged with stealing a quantity of goods from the said school and in connection with the February break-in of a home in De Faux, St George.

A 15-year-old of Paraclete, St Andrew, has been charged in connection with 3 offenses dating back between August and November 2015. The teenager is charged with one count each of housebreaking and stealing, damage to property and stealing.
