On 23 October, Her Excellency Mme Ou Boqian, Chinese Ambassador to Grenada witnessed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education Ruth Rouse signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Chinese Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), for a Chinese Martial Arts Teacher in Grenada.
According to the MOU, the TA Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) will have a Martial Arts Teacher for 2 academic years, starting from 2014 in addition to the current Chinese Language Lecturer.
Wu Hongge, the new Martial Arts teacher will arrive this December and will be based at TAMCC. He will cover all public secondary schools in the parishes of St George and St David.
