‘The Theatre Of Mixing’, two days of Bartenders Training, was facilitated by Raymond Edwards, Chief Mixologist at the House of Angostura, Trinidad, through local distributor George F Huggins Distribution Division.
The activity was held at the Venus Restaurant and Sports Bar, on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 June, with 44 participants from over 15 restaurants and students of the TAMCC Hospitality Department CVQ Bar Service Programme.
Edwards is known for his wealth of knowledge and experience. He commended the participants for opting to be a part of the training, as there is always something new to learn in the industry.
Brand Manager for the Angostura Portfolio Arkera Lessey, expressed her gratitude to the Chief Mixologist and to all the participants, noting this training opportunity was made available free of charge, for the development and enhancement of their skill set.

At the end of the two days of both theory and practical training, persons were versed in the areas of Mixology, The History & Development of Base Spirits, The History Of Angostura Aromatic Bitters and Rums, Behind The Bar – Customer Service & Efficiency, Stocking The Bar, Cocktail Classics and other critical areas.
All participants were presented with a Theatre Of Mixing Bartender Education Programme booklet. They were also encouraged to complete an online exam which will see them receive a certificate of participation, from the world renowned House of Angostura.
Angostura through George F Huggins Distribution Division continues to support the people of Grenada through developmental initiatives, geared at enhancing their craft. This support continues through the White Oak Domino Competition, where two persons will have the opportunity to represent Grenada in September, at the Regional Domino Finals in St Kitts, with $10,000 as the grand prize.
