Michael Bascombe of Grenada heads a new entity, representative of the region’s sports media which has come on stream.
Bascombe currently serves as interim president of The Caribbean Sports Journalist Association (CASJA), which was recently launched during the inaugural 2014 IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas. CASJA was conceived in answer to the ongoing number of logistics and accommodations challenges which regional journalists have experienced at regional and international events.
Membership interests have been expressed from Suriname, and the Hispanic countries as well as other journalists from the region, and Caribbean journalists worldwide.
