The National Water and Sewerage Authority is doing their part to ensure consumers are a little less constrained in their celebrations of SpiceMas 2013.

For one week, 29 July to 2 August 2013, the Authority is offering domestic and non-domestic customers disconnected on or before 19 July 2013, amnesty from the customary reconnection fee.

In addition, eligible customers are offered the option of payment plans to facilitate easy clearance of outstanding arrears. These are as follows:

Amount in Arrears Deposit Required Payment Arrangement
$500 or less NONE FULL PAYMENT required
$500.01 – $1000 50% two (2) months instalment to settle arrears
$1000.01 – $3000 50% four (4) months instalment to settle arrears
$3000.01 and more 50% six (6) months instalment to settle arrears

Head of NAWASA’s Commercial Unit, Mrs. Julia Jeremiah says, “NAWASA is excited to have this promotion repeated for the second time this year particularly in light of continued financial challenges faced by many consumers.  Since its inception four years ago, the promotion for the first time includes commercial customers and is extended from its usual one to five days.   We sincerely hope our customers will maximise the opportunity to have a safe, adequate and reliable water supply for the carnival season and beyond.”

Customers are advised that in order to benefit from this promotion, they must visit NAWASA’s cash offices on the Carenage, Gouyave Sub Office on Lower Depradine Street and Grenville Sub Office on Seaton James Street to make payments and arrangements.
