Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) CEO, Rudy Grant, this week leads a delegation to further enhance Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique as a leading holiday choice for UK travellers. Starting Monday 20 June, the schedule includes meetings with major airlines and tour operators, interactive training sessions with over 150 travel industry professionals, and a networking event with top media.

Representatives from nine Grenada properties join the Grenada Tourism Authority Roadshow 2016: Coyaba Beach Resort; Laluna; Mount Edgecombe; Le Phare Bleu Boutique Hotel & Marina; Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club; Sandals LaSource Grenada; Spice Island Beach Resort and Blue Horizons Garden Resort; and True Blue Bay Resort.

Meetings with senior management from British Airways and Virgin Atlantic will further cement the strong relationships between GTA and the carriers that each serve Grenada twice weekly from London Gatwick.

Accompanied by GTA Marketing Executive, Delysia Decoteau, Mr Grant and the hotel representatives will host three educational events for travel agents. On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday the delegation will bring a taste of Pure Grenada to venues in Canterbury, Kent; central London; and Reading, Berkshire respectively.

On Tuesday evening, Mr Grant and the hotel representatives will host 20 top UK media and bloggers providing a taste of Pure Grenada with a bespoke chocolate making masterclass led by Rococo chocolatier founder, Chantal Coady OBE.

Throughout the week the GTA will meet with decision makers from leading tour operators who offer Grenada to UK travellers, and seek new and compelling reasons to travel for their customers.

Mr Grant, CEO of Grenada Tourism Authority, said: “This week we’ll meet with the key influencers in the UK travel industry and media to educate them as to why Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique should be their destination of choice for 2017. We are confident that with activities such as the Pure Grenada Music Festival and the Grenada Chocolate Festival, in addition to our Regattas and other celebrations and activities such as Spicemas and Carriacou Maroon amongst others – we have a strong calendar of events to entice new and repeat visitors.”

He added: “The authenticity and unspoiled environment coupled with the experiences that the tri-island state offers – along with the unmatched warmth, hospitality and love of Grenadians — makes Grenada truly a destination paradise that stands out.”
