International company Air Panama has partnered with Milagros International Investments Corporation to launch a twice-weekly flight from Grenada to Panama. The service is expected to open the gateway to Latin America, and a host of trade and commerce opportunities in the Western Hemisphere.

The introduction of this new route destination, just 4 hours away, gives Caribbean residents a chance to explore Panama’s rich cultural heritage; a multicultural metropolis with a vibrant nightlife, while gaining direct access to the world’s most famous brands at a fraction of the price.

The inaugural flight, scheduled for 3 December 2015, will be welcomed by a delegation of Grenada Tourism Authority officials, who are excited at the prospect of marketing Pure Grenada to a Latin American audience.

The Government of Grenada and its stakeholders have assisted in making this groundbreaking initiative a reality. This resourcefulness ensures that all OECS member states in the Eastern Caribbean and across the Caribbean region, can enjoy the convenience of getting to Panama and Latin America, by means of a direct service from Grenada.

Charter flights from the Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA) to Marcos A Gelabert International Airport (PAC) will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. A FOKKER 100, which caters for 95 passengers will service the route. Cargo services, passenger tickets and travel packages can be obtained via the Air Panama office at MBIA from 20 November 2015, and the Grenada office of Astral Travel & Tours at 1(473) 440-5127/5180.

Customers planning to travel to Panama can take advantage of a special introductory round-trip package of US$599, which includes return airfare; airport transfers; accommodation at a Marriott hotel; a continental breakfast and baggage allowance of two pieces per person totaling 50 lbs.

“It is our hope that Caribbean people can benefit from this great opportunity for business and leisure, now that this exciting portal has been opened,” said Pat Dillon, Executive Sales Manager of Air Panama Caribbean and Milagros Representative, Trinidad.

Travel Agents, Tour Operators and businesses within the Caribbean are encouraged to take advantage of these pre-packaged tours. For immediate bookings and more information, interested parties can call Ms Pat Dillon at 1(868) 361-0577.

Air Panama in partnership with Milagros International Investments Corporation, aim to offer avid travelers in the Caribbean region a hassle-free portal to the one of the world’s largest Duty Free Trade Zone and the chance to enjoy the perks of paradise and convenience of city life in one destination.
