The Government of Grenada, through the Inland Revenue Division (IRD) of the Ministry of Finance, is hosting a 4-day regional workshop on Compliance Risk Management from 20–23 April, 2026.
This initiative forms part of the Global Public Finance Partnership’s Community of Practice (COP#2).
The workshop, being held at the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort, brings together senior officials and technical experts from tax administrations across the Caribbean. It is supported by the International Monetary Fund’s Fiscal Affairs Department (IMF–FAD). The initiative aims to strengthen compliance risk management (CRM) programmes and enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and fairness of tax administration throughout the region.
According to Sheena Lewis, Comptroller of the Inland Revenue Division:
“This workshop represents a pivotal step in our collective effort to modernize tax administration across the Caribbean. By leveraging the Community of Practice framework, we are building a regional network of expertise to move toward a data-driven, risk-based approach that ensures fairness for all taxpayers.”
Participants are engaged in a series of technical sessions and country presentations designed to foster knowledge-sharing and practical problem-solving. The final day will culminate in the development of country action plans, as well as the identification of opportunities for peer-to-peer collaboration among participating jurisdictions.
The Inland Revenue Division remains committed to transparent, efficient, and fair tax administration, and to working with regional and international partners to strengthen public financial systems across the Caribbean.
