The Government of Grenada and the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) provide the UK Government’s Commonwealth Scholarship scheme, guided by international development objectives.

Since 1960, the CSC has funded more than 30,000 individuals to study in the UK and gain skills, acquire knowledge and build networks to tackle global development challenges.

The CSC is open for applications from 2 September to 14 October 2025. The Human Resource Division at the Ministry of Education is currently accepting applications. The deadline to apply is 15 September 2025.

How to apply:

Candidates must apply using the CSC’s online application system, which can be found on the CSC website or click here to apply for a master’s scholarship.

  • Each scholarship has a ‘How to apply’ section, which will have information and guidance on the application process and the link to the online application system. The CSC is unable to accept any application that is not submitted via the online application system or after the closing date listed above
  • In addition, applicants are required to apply to the Human Resource Development Division by using the Government of Grenada Commonwealth scholarship form, which must be obtained by email at [email protected] or [email protected].

CSC Eligibility Criteria to apply for Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships:

Applicant must:

  • be a citizen of Grenada
  • be available to start studies in the UK by the start of the academic year in September 2026
  • by September 2026, hold a first degree of at least upper second-class honours, or a second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a master’s degree). The CSC would not normally fund a second UK master’s degree. Candidates applying for a second UK master’s degree will need to provide justification for undertaking this study
  • be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship
  • provide full transcripts detailing all higher education qualifications, including up-to-date transcripts for any qualifications currently being pursued (with certified translations if not in English) uploaded to the online application system
  • provide references from at least 2 individuals

Agency deadlines:

If a candidate’s application has not met the Human Resource Development Division, Ministry of Education’s deadline, he/she will not be nominated, and the application will not be submitted to the CSC for consideration.

Interested applicants are encouraged to send their application documents to the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development Division by Monday, 15 September 2025. For further information, please contact the Ministry of Education/Human Resource Development Division at telephone numbers (473) 440-2737/417-9762 or via email [email protected] or [email protected].
