ACB Grenada Bank donated $3,000 to the Autistic Foundation of Grenada (AFG) in commemoration of World Autistic Awareness Day (WAAD) towards their mission “to offer a full range of play-based activities focused towards self-help/personal skill development in child centered surroundings and promote the continued social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each individual child.”
The Autistic Foundation of Grenada Centre for Development opened its doors in May 2023. It is the current and future home for several programmes designed to provide respite and support (developmental, therapeutic, mental health, and lifelong goals) for persons of all ages on the autism spectrum and with other developmental disabilities.
The donation was handed over by a group of ACB Grenada Bank team members to Tammy Martin, Director AFG and M Johanna Tamar, President, AFG.
“The Autistic Foundation of Grenada gratefully accepts the generous donation of ACB Grenada Bank Limited, presented at AFG Centre for Development today on World Autism Awareness Day, 2 April 2025. The bank’s team also toured the property. AFG’s Early Childhood Intervention Programme (ECIP) caters for 3- to 13-year-olds generally, but it is the foundation’s goal to expand to serve the entire population, from cradle to grave. Today’s donation will assist greatly in developing new programmes like these. Volunteers have greatly assisted AFG from its inception to the present. We note with delight the ACB’s employees expressed interest in this area of service and for continued support of the Foundation and all its endeavours,” said Tamer.
In celebration of WAAD, all staff at the ACB Grenada Bank wore their blue T-shirts. ACB Grenada Bank is committed to giving back and developing the communities in which we operate.
