Friday, 29 November 2024, is nomination day for candidates in the first National Youth Elections.
Candidates will officially submit their nomination forms to the parish’s acting Returning Officers, declaring their intention to run in the National Youth Elections, which will take place online on 5 December 2024.
The candidates have been involved in campaigning, radio interviews and debates on topics that affect the youth of Grenada, and have also presented their vision for the future, while encouraging young people to register to vote.
The Writ of Election was issued on 22 November, and registration is currently closed.
The candidates are as follows.

Youths aged 16 to 35 are urged to vote for the candidate in their constituency who will best represent them. The elected candidate will represent their voice in the National Youth Parliament on issues that impact them, as well as push for positive change for Grenada’s young people. They will serve a 2-year term.

NB: Elon James will no longer contest for the St John constituency in the National Youth Elections (due to circumstances beyond his control). This leaves that constituency uncontested, and Sashanna McVean will be the representative in the National Youth Parliament for St John.
