The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) is pleased to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) following a meeting held on Monday, 10 June.
The meeting, which was attended by GHTA members with RGPF Executives, Comissioner Don McKenzie, DCP Jessmon Prince, and ACP Vannie Curwen, marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to enhance security measures within the tourism sector.
Recognising that “security is everyone’s business,” both parties have committed to working together to address security challenges faced by the tourism industry in Grenada. During the meeting, discussions revolved around police updates, recommendations for the tourism sector, and the importance of collaboration between RGPF and GHTA.
As part of the partnership, the RGPF has agreed to provide valuable insights to GHTA members regarding security loopholes within their establishments. Both the RGPF and GHTA are committed to working closely together to ensure the safety and security of tourists, visitors, and locals in Grenada. By strategising and collaborating on security initiatives, the partnership aims to create a safer and more secure environment for all stakeholders within the tourism industry. Moving forward, the RGPF and GHTA will continue to explore opportunities for cooperation and develop innovative solutions to address security challenges in Grenada. Together, they are dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and security within the tourism sector, ultimately enhancing the overall visitor experience in Grenada.
