$45 per day….this is madness. It is shameful that a government will promote modern day Slavery.
This is exploitation….$45/8= $5.63 per hour. What is the minimum wage?
This the same government that campaigned on anti poverty.
What message are they sending to young people? You can’t tell young to love hard back breaking work for little pay.
Then we complain about young people that sit down by the side of the road. This rate of pay is certainly not an incentive to attract young people into farming….
Outrageous…..
Do you know how many hours per day are they expected to work before you make such sweeping statement?
The Posting did not indicate if hours are less than what is generally accepted as per day. So it’s safe to say 8 hrs.
What does per day mean to you? How many hours that are generally worked as a day work?
If the work day is more or less than a typical 8hr day work, then it’s government responsibility clearly state so.
Is farm work hours any different?
Generally, labour laws /union aggreement requires that employees are paid the minmum of 3-5 hours when they called in to work.
I should remind you I don’t have a horse in this race.
The previous administration was one of the most corrupt administration in the history of the island.
The current administration have a history of not going far enough to clean up and put mechanism in place to deter the corruption of government offices/corporations.
As a citizen of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite I can convey my concerns.
If you have info that is contrary to what I have insinuated feel free to share. I stand to be corrected.
