Required Qualifications & Experience
- A post-graduate degree in education, higher education, quality assurance, or a relevant discipline
- A minimum of 5 years experience in planning/administration, preferably at a tertiary level
- Relevant and current knowledge of quality assurance in tertiary/higher education, including undertaking quality assessment in a variety of contexts
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage people and budgets
Job Description and Specification
- Ensures the organization’s alignment to its mission and vision through the development and implementation of short and mid-term strategic plans
- Manages the recognition, registration, and accreditation of higher education institutions in Grenada
- Develops and manages the budget, fees for services, and the financial accounts of the organization
- Foster and strengthen collaboration with external stakeholders and related agencies locally, regionally, and internationally
- Provides leadership on the development and review of quality assurance policies, qualification framework, conferment of title, and other quality-assurance related issues
Primary Responsibilities
The Executive Director is responsible for fulfilling the mandate of the Board of Directors of the Grenada National Accreditation Board. As manager of the Secretariat, he/she must ensure that all approved policies and procedures are adhered to and must also take the lead in policy review and development.
Additionally, the Executive Director ensures that the organization operates effectively and professionally in aspects such as its evaluations and assessments of higher education programmes and institutions (recognition, registration and accreditation), credential evaluation and conferment of titles for higher education institutions.
