JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Identifying and assisting potential entrepreneurs with feasibility assessment of ideas, development of business plans, including marketing and strategic plans.
- Providing handholding support to existing enterprises assisting them with the implementation of marketing, strategic and business plans, costing and pricing products and services, recordkeeping and training necessary for the successful operation of the enterprise.
- Undertaking timely interventions into enterprises, assessing enterprise needs and requirements, making recommendations that would enhance their competitiveness and productivity and sourcing and coordinating technical assistance interventions necessary for the upgrade of these enterprises.
- Conducting routine and in-depth research on issues affecting enterprises’ growth and competitiveness and make recommendations for the development of appropriate systems and policies.
- Developing new project ideas and sourcing funding for new ventures and projects that would support the start-up and competitiveness of existing Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education | Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, International Business/Economics, or related field. Certification in Project Management would be an asset. |
Experience | At least five years’ experience in the delivery of entrepreneurial and business development services including financial management to aspiring entrepreneurs and MSMEs. Previous experience with the design and implementation of donor-funded projects and programmes. Experience in managing, monitoring, and evaluating MSME-funded projects and programmes. Experience in delivering training. Excellent knowledge of the domestic business environment. |

JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Providing executive and administrative support to the CEO.
- Handling incoming and outgoing electronic and print communication on behalf of the CEO.
- Acting as liaison to the Board of Directors.
- Preparing meeting minutes for all meetings of the CEO and the Board of Directors.
- Assisting with case planning, development and management; undertaking research; gathering facts, retrieving information as well as drafting documents.
PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education | Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Management or Office Administration or equivalent; Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in Legal studies/Paralegal; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge and skills. |
Experience | Minimum 5 years of experience supporting C-Level Executives/ Senior Leadership; Minimum 5 years experience in providing administrative support. Experience in Corporate Governance. At least 3 years experience as a paralegal. |
