The Grenada Airports Authority (GAA) Board of Directors has confirmed the appointment of Edgar Stephen as the new General Manager of the Grenada Airports Authority, effective 12 November 2023.Â
The GAA is responsible for managing, controlling, and supervising the operations at Maurice Bishop International and Lauriston airports.
Following an extensive recruitment process, Mr Stephen emerged as the standout candidate among a pool of exceptional local, regional, and international contenders. He possesses a wealth of industry experience and formal qualifications in civil aviation, and previously led the operations and development of Hewanorra International Airport in St Lucia, where he served as Chief Executive Officer for the past 5 years.
Notably, Mr Stephen completed the Global ICAO–ACI Airport Management Professional certification. His impressive academic background spans Public Finance, International Trade and Commercial Law, Project Management, and Public Sector Management.
