A 4-member Grenadian strongman team representing the Grenada Bodybuilding, Weightlifting and Fitness Federation (GBBWF) left the island on Sunday, 12 November to participate in an international strongman competition to be held in Guangzhou, China.
The event, scheduled for 25 – 26 November will showcase athletes from around the world competing in various challenging feats of strength and vying for the first-place title in the various categories.
The Grenadian representatives include strongmen Marcus Alexander, Antonio Charles, Jusceno Jacob and Arnold John accompanied by coach Mc Elvin Pope, and Federation President Cecil Mitchell. These athletes are geared to participate in activities such as the boat pull, axle deadlift, yoke walk, log press, and stones lift during the event.
The Grenada Bodybuilding, Weightlifting and Fitness Federation expresses confidence in the abilities of the team, anticipating a strong showing on the international stage. The event not only serves as a platform for athletic achievement but also fosters global camaraderie within the strength sports community.
