Hon. Tevin Andrews, Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, expressed gratitude for the patience exhibited by the community, and highlighted the significance of individuals transitioning to home ownership. He assured of his ministry’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of the constituency.
Hon. Phillip Telesford, Minister for Social Development, Housing and Gender Affairs, acknowledged the challenges faced with the housing units and entrusted full responsibility to the Housing Authority of Grenada (HAG) to retrofit for safe occupancy, investing over $4.5 million in the process. Emphasising the commitment to better living conditions, he reiterated the ministry’s dedication to ensuring the welfare of all Grenadians.
Hugh Thomas, Chairman, along with other members of HAG, addressed concerns raised by individuals during the event. He assured the public that the Housing Authority of Grenada would diligently address these issues to ensure a seamless transition for new homeowners.
