The Grenlec Community Partnership Initiative (GCPI) has issued a Call for Project Proposals for 2024.

The Call invites established community groups and non-profit organisations in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique to apply for grants to undertake projects in the areas of Social Services/Community Development, Education, Environment, Science and Technology/Energy, Sport, Arts, Heritage and Culture.

Prudence Greenidge, Grenlec’s Corporate Communications Manager, indicated that the last Call for Proposals was in 2019 and Grenlec has been executing those projects through a phased approach. She went on to say that her Company is grateful for the opportunity to partner with additional organisations to enhance the quality of life of various communities.

To help build project proposal writing skills for the GCPI as well as other projects, Grenlec will host project proposal writing workshops in Carriacou, St Andrew and St George on the 14, 17, and 20 October 2023, respectively.

The Grenlec Community Partnership Initiative (GCPI) contributes to national development through partnerships with community and stakeholder development initiatives.

I strongly recommend that Grenlec open a branch in Sauteurs.
We the residents of that parish been suffering for so long as we have to take time off to visit Grenville if we have any questions about the service we are getting and most of all we are shareholders.

I have one which will help all the folks living in the St Patrick’s and St Marks parish to save money and time by having an office in Sauteurs.
Grenlec belongs to the people therefore they have to serve the community by assisting them with easy access in paying bills and sorting out queries for all the folks in that area which is a very large area.
