SALESMAN
Reports to: Sales Supervisor
The incumbent will be responsible for servicing customers on a designated route and generating sales
Key Duties:
- Promotes a positive image of the organization through professional interaction with customers and staff, and the effective and efficient way duties are executed.
- Ensures that Sales targets are achieved by maximizing productivity in Selling, Promoting and Merchandising the Company’s products, in compliance with corporate brands’ strategies and agreed customer service levels.
- Supervises Sales assistants.
- Responsible for filled stock and empties on assigned truck.
- Generates and issues invoices and/or receipts for cash and credit sales and collection of payments on customers’ account.
- Reconciles all cash collected daily in accordance with company’s procedures.
- Ensures that the assigned truck is always well-maintained and in good working condition and immediately reports any maintenance issues to the Fleet Coordinator.
- Adheres to safe driving practices and shows awareness, concern and respect for pedestrians and other motorists.
- Ensures that all loads on truck are properly packed and well secured and are done in a safe manner.
Qualification and/or Experience:
- 5 CXC/O’Level passes including Mathematics & English Language
- Special truck license issued by the Government of Grenada
- Certificate in Customer Service
- At least 1 year experience in similar position
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Good organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and driving regulations.
- Knowledge of Health Hazards/ Risks associated with the use of the trucks.
