The Department of Public Administration (DPA), in collaboration with the People’s Republic of China invites experienced individuals in the Agro-processing industry to apply to participate in the training course “Agricultural Products Processing and Preservation Technology for Grenada” from 8–21 June in China.
The number of participants is limited to 15.
Participants in the training will increase their knowledge related to the processing and preservation of agricultural products. The aim is to enable knowledge transfer to help improve the overall agroprocessing industry in Grenada.
Some of the core contents of the training include:
- Agricultural product acquisition, storage and packaging technologies
- Agricultural products transportation, distribution, and circulation network design
- Agricultural products processing machinery
- Operation of international trade of agricultural products in the context of the digital economy
The training is fully sponsored by the Government of China. Sponsorship includes accommodation, round trip air ticket and a stipend. However, successful applicants should have sufficient pocket money to cover any incidentals associated with their travel. Applicants must be below the age of 45 years and in good health as certified by a medical practitioner.

Yikes! Again with the CHINESE model. They are NOT suited to helping a tiny country like Grenada in this circumstance. Grenada is 105,000 people. China is MILLIONS. They ate going to push methods that are suited to THEIR country with the aim to taking over Grenada. Do you not realize this from the push to grow foods that CHINESE EAT, NOT GRENADIANS on Grenada like overpriced Dragonfruit. The mechanisation they employ demands too much space, electricity and destruction of rainforest. Just say NO!
