Where can we find rubi cooking gas ( 20 lbs )? Thanks.
Many person left St. Marks to shop in Sauteurs…whats the rule about restrictions
I have just stood in line from 7.15 half the time in the sun the other half in the shopping mall, respite from the heat at least. Eventually, at 1.10 I got to go inside the supermarket for a 20 min shop. We had 2 eggs left at home!
This is my idea for the Government to think about: Open every other day Mon, Wed, Frid and Sat. Mon is pensioners, for the first hour. then normal folks can go in. Wed support workers for the first hour, Friday/Saturday open to all. Also, set up a database that is linked with the store so we could shop on line, (Whatsapp does not work for everyone, and who remembers the names of products, weight etc Shopping online we need to see a picture of the goods ) Just as you can at Sainsbury’s/Tescos/Waitrose if it is not in stock then you cannot buy it and offer an alternative, the extra IGA workers collect the goods you have ordered, you pay for it online. Then use the now out of work TAXI DRIVERS to deliver for a nominal sum, carrying as many boxes on there route as they can (ie if the drivers home is in Woburn then that is his route). It means work for Taxi drivers. Work for IGA employee and extra staff as needed. The sick, elderly, infirm, pregnant, mothers with small children can order safely from home and get what they need to be delivered by a taxi that needs the work.
Also open the GAS stations and the Hardware Stores, SO we can do some DIY, or Buy GAZ to cook on at home
A total fiasco. Again. When will the government realize that the only way to have livable social distancing is to SPREAD THE PEOPLE, by giving as much time as possible to shop??? Spreading people means MORE shopping hours per week, not fewer.
Open all stores from 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week and watch the lines melt to nothing. Added bonus: a lot less people will be in contact with each other, for a much shorter period of time.
Well Said, Well Said.
Re shopping in Sauteurs Kalico. There was quite poor communication from police. There ended up being 3 lines to the front door. 1 line was for 65+. Essential service were in general line. Only a few attempts to crash/cut in by people and this was more controlled by others in line than RGPF. Social distance maintenance completely ignored. I arrived at 7:30am and was finished by 1pm.
There was NO CONTROL of last names being checked for this morning.
Recommendations are to open shopping 8am – 5pm Mon, Wed and Fri eith no last name control. This will alleviate the concern you will run out of time.
Must have better on site communication. Provide police official a loudspeaker or bullhorn to be heard.
Better line distinctions to identify 65+ from general under 65 years.
If people cut in the RGPF must enforce removal from line to maintain confidence in process.
Call me to discuss my experience and recommendations at your convenience.

Thank you and please have a blessed Easter.
Complete chaos at IGA: I waited in line from 7:00 AM – 01:00 PM (6 hours!!) and there were still hundreds of people before me… So I gave up and left the line (my A to M bracket allowed time was up anyway)! Curious as to how IGA / RGPF will handle the new group of people (N to Z). Whatever they do, many, many people will have to go home empty handed (like me). It’s a shame!!
The Shopping is absolute chaos. When does the government realize, that this is absolutely not working?
What happen to the statement the Prime Minister made about designating days to pray…he said nothing after that. Very disappointed as a Christian nation people are not seeing God as the only source we can turn to now for help and we are focusing on everything thing else except the Creator. I stand humbly in prayer and wait to see the outcome of this ..again man thinking in his own wisdom he can solve the world problems.
I am so disappointed ..the police stated that citizens are required to leave home no earlier than 7am for shopping yet there were people on the road 5.30am . We were sent back after waiting in line by Foodland for 3 hours with nothing ..only in Grenada .
Another point, Some people must have left their homes earlier than 7 am.
People in line did not get turned away at 12..00 because they had run out of time. My experience arrived at 7.15 got into the shop (IGA) at 1.10. 6hours of non-stop standing with arthritis is pretty horrendous.
The pharmacy was open, 3 people in the shop at once, got some painkillers, a cold drink and a small bag of nuts and continued to queue took all of 4 mins.
The Police, IGA Staff, The Military were all FANTASTIC IN THE JOB THEY HAD TO DO. please read my other comments on ways we can make this easier for us all. Thank you
I’m so sorry to hear about the problems going on with regards to acquiring groceries. Here in Canada we are able to shop most days of the week and I do think it improves everyone’s well-being and ability to provide for themselves.
Another thing that we are relying on quite a bit is grocery stores compiling an order that has been found in and then they either deliver it or drop it at the car. It requires a longer wait to have groceries delivered to the home or to the car but at least it prevents the vulnerable from being exposed.
Phoned in not Found in!
