The Dorothy Hopkin Centre for the disabled was presented with a 24–inch flat screen television, to assist in outfitting the assembly hall.

Carriacou was not left out, as the Top-Hill Home also received a commercial stove.

The Hills View Home in Gouyave received one deep fridge. Cedars Home for battered mothers was given a washing machine, freezer, refrigerator and a commercial stove.

A $3,000 scholarship award was also handed to Ryan George of Grand Mal, St George.

This comes as the Fund for Orphans and Elderly celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Chairperson of the Fund for Orphans and Elderly, Sister Mary Francis–Nelson, stressed the importance of the continued financial support from the various business places and independent donors, noting that it will enable continuous assistance to the needy.
