The Government of Grenada is engaged in ongoing public consultation on the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) Control Bill, 2020, with the plan to table it in parliament by early October.
The bill seeks to give further powers to the appropriate state authorities to continue to contain the spread of the virus, to reduce the resourcing and administrative burden on public bodies; and to limit the impact of potential staffing shortages on the delivery of public service.
The primary intention of the bill is to protect people, especially now that the decision has been taken to reopen the country’s borders.
It will last for one year, but can be revoked earlier, since it is only needed for the time that is required to respond to the Covid-19 situation.
The public is urged to take the opportunity to participate in the process by sending their comments and feedback to the email address [email protected].
The deadline for feedback is 7 September 2020.

I have known of this island of Grenada from before I had spent my first holiday trip there over a year ago. After my previous trip abroad in the U.S.A. there was a U.S. led invasion military coup with a massacre of victims including the then Prime Minister Maurice Bishop and his Cabinet. It was 36 years earlier before this island was this next one itself for me to travel abroad to.
This manipulation appears questionable on first mention of it. Bad image to show to the International Community.
We just recently heard family friends voiding their son’s intentions to enroll at St. George’s University – citing the rising political instability of this Government.
Dictatorships went out of style with Idi Amin. Sure don’t need Kieth following in his foot steps or picking up Idi Amin’s reputation. Just not a fit for Grenada.

I feel sorry for the people of Grenada . I hope my suspicions are wrong. Time will tell. But if I’m right. I’ll take this opportunity to say goodbye to paradise
