As part of Month of Older Persons celebrations, Grenada Association of Retired Persons (GARP) together with Carriacou and Petite Martinique Action Committee Inc. (C-PAC) invite the public to the 2nd annual Diabetic Foot Clinic, done by renowned Podiatrist and Surgeon Dr Steven Wells, accompanied by Nurse Nicole Elizabeth Frith. In addition to Dr Wells and Nurse Frith, a number of local health care providers have been invited to participate.
The Diabetic Foot Clinics will include diabetes foot protection education, diabetes foot assessment and wound care treatment. Information will also be provided on self-directed education and limb salvage information. In addition to foot condition, patients will be screened for blood sugar, blood pressure, and circulatory problems.
Please ask your family members who have issues with their feet to come to this free clinic for assessments. The public is invited to attend Diabetic Foot Clinics in the following locations:
- On Wednesday, 8 November 2017, at Princess Royal Hospital in Carriacou from 9 am to 4 pm
- On Friday, 10 November 2017, at Grand Bras Medical Centre in Grenville from 9 am to 2 pm
- On Saturday, 11 November 2017, at GARP Welcome Centre on Kirani James Boulevard (next to Foodland car park) from 9 am to 2 pm.
