The US Embassy in Grenada is pleased to announce that representatives from the Regional Federal Benefits Unit will visit St George’s to offer services for US Social Security and other federal benefits.

Location: US Embassy, Lance Aux Epines, St George, Grenada

Dates and Times:

  • Tuesday, 24 June 2025: 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm
  • Wednesday, 25 June 2025: 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm
  • Thursday, 26 June 2025: 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm

No appointments are required. Assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis during the above dates and times. Please remember to bring original documents as well as a legible photocopy of each document to be submitted.

What to bring for Social Security Services:

  • Applying for Social Security Benefits:

Bring originals and copies of the following for all applicants: Birth certificate, passport, banking information. If applying for auxiliary benefits or survivor’s benefits, also bring marriage and/or death certificates

  • Social Security Number Card Application:

Bring a copy of your unexpired US passport, Certificate of Birth Abroad or original birth certificate, and completed form SS-5FS

  • Change/Update of Address or Banking for Social Security Benefits: Bring your unexpired passport/local ID and banking details through form SSA-1199-OP11
  • Medicare Part B Enrollment/Cancellation:

To enroll in Medicare, complete and sign form CMS-40B. To cancel your enrollment, complete and sign form CMS-1763
