CaneCo Ltd was established in 2016 as part of the Renegade Rum Group, for the purpose of growing and delivering sugarcane to the Renegade Rum Distillery Ltd at Conference, St Andrew.
From small beginnings, the company has grown to achieve an exceptionally high standard of sugarcane production over an area of 300 acres along the east coast of Grenada, bearing testament to the hard work and dedication of its employees.
The Renegade Rum Distillery Ltd is being sold, and as a result, CaneCo Ltd is no longer required to provide sugarcane for its operations, so it is being wound down with effect from 1 September 2024. All employees of CaneCo Ltd are being made redundant and will be fully compensated for their service to the company. The management of Renegade Rum Group extends its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of CaneCo Ltd’s employees and wishes them every success for the future.

Has there been any statement as to why the Renegade Rum Distillery is up for sale?
Is there word of any possible buyers?
Seems such a short lived project that offered much yet appears to not have been able to deliver on it’s vision.
What a awaste – can’t the cane or the cane-juice be exported to save the jobs??
