The National Water and Sewerage Authority (Nawasa) advises that a damage assessment of our water systems will be conducted on Tuesday, 2 July 2024, to determine the impact on infrastructure following Hurricane Beryl. Currently, all water systems remain shut down as a precautionary measure. The safety and well-being of our community are our top priorities.
Our Disaster Response Team will convene on Tuesday at 9 am at our Command Center, Lucas Street Head Office. Further information will follow after the meeting concludes, including updates on damage assessment and water supply restoration.
Nawasa advises consumers to responsibly manage their stored water supplies, as the timeline for full restoration remains undetermined at this time. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period.
The Nawasa family extends heartfelt prayers and well wishes to the residents of Carriacou, Petite Martinique, and all other communities significantly impacted by Hurricane Beryl.
