FOR TROPICAL NORTH ATLANTIC OCEAN, CARIBBEAN SEA, AND GULF OF MEXICO AREA OF SPECIAL INTEREST: 10–20°N AND 45–65°W
Tropical Wave: An Atlantic Ocean tropical wave is along 53°W/54°W from 11°N southward, moving westward about 15 knots. Broken to overcast multilayered clouds, and disorganised rain showers, are within 420 nm on either side of the tropical wave. This wave is expected to cross the island chain on Thursday, bringing an increase in cloud cover, light to moderate showers and a low chance of isolated thunder from Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
The Met Office will continue to monitor this tropical wave.
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7 days.
