“Continue doing the great job of caring for the elderly.’’ Those were the words of Consular Peng Wenlin at the Chinese Embassy, as he delivered items to the Top Hill Senior Citizens Home in Carriacou.
The only senior citizens home on the island presently provides care for 11 residents.
Consular Wenlin said the items are the embassy’s annual contribution to the home in the seasonal spirit of giving.
Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government Javan Williams who represented Hon. Tevin Andrews, and Matron at the Home Clavia McLean both expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for their contribution.
Also present for the presentation were Minister’s Personal Assistant Ann McQuilkin and Office Manager at the Parliamentary Constituency Office Terrence Logan.
