Approximately one month after being declared a wanted man as a suspect in a homicide, police in Grenada said that Dwayne McDonald is yet to be caught and is currently placed on the Regional Security Systems (RSS) Wanted List.
“He is on the high-priority wanted list. The offence is he alleged to have committed will make him a priority,” said ASP Douglas Simon, Head of the Community Relations Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF). “In the immediate aftermath of the offence, we had notified Trinidad and Tobago and St Vincent and the Grenadines, but right now, he is on the RSS list,” he added.
McDonald, who is 42 years of age, is the main suspect in the death of Randy McIntosh who was found by police with gunshot wounds while sitting in his vehicle on the 13 square mile Grenadine island of Carriacou. That island falls under the administration of Grenada.
McDonald, a criminal deportee from the USA, is wanted by the police for questioning in connection with the offence of Murder. “This suspect may be armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution,” said a release from the police.
McIntosh was shot in his vehicle on 2 May. The incident was witnessed by a female who was in the vehicle at the time the shooting occurred.
As of 1 June, there have been 9 homicides in Grenada. McDonald is the only suspect placed on the wanted list.
