The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) has commenced the implementation of several projects island-wide, including a grant funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) called the Grenada Climate Resilient Water Sector (G-CREWS).
To facilitate the growing need for site supervision, applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Site Supervisor at NAWASA.
Preamble
The successful candidates will report to the Planning and Development Manager or his designate. The Site Supervisor will be based in the field for their assigned project site.
Scope Of Work
The Site Supervisor will:
- Supervise the contractor and the works being constructed daily
- Assist with the quality control of pipelaying and keep detailed daily records of the contractor’s progress, weather, material assignment and usage, production drawings, all field data, and site inspections
- Assist with systematic measurement of completed works, prepare and sign off on claims for payment, variation, and change orders
- Monitor the contractor’s implementation of the ESHS Management Strategies & Implementation Plan, including all environmental, health & safety, social, and sexual & gender provisions within the ESHS. Keep records and follow up on the progress and resolution of all cases
- Collect, log, and file all tests and their results with digital photographs and written records
- Conduct weekly site meetings with the contractor. Minute and file the daily, weekly, and monthly documents submitted to or from the contractor
- Assist with the coordination of traffic management all along the project site, the organisation with the entities responsible for underground and nearby utilities, and adjacent property owners as the need arises
- And any other related activities that may arise from time to time
Minimum Professional Qualification
- Certificate in Building Construction or related Technical Certification from a recognised institution
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Site Supervisor or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in pipe laying/civil works
- Proficiency in MS Office
- A valid driver’s licence (D Class licence will be an asset
