Congratulations Anthony R Alexander of Westerhall, St David, recipient of the Republic Bank top academic achiever award at the 2022 T A Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) Graduation exercise held Thursday, 1 December at the National Cricket Stadium.
Alexander attained a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 to claim the coveted Award for Overall Academic Excellence, sponsored annually by Republic Bank. He was enrolled in the Natural Sciences programme in the School of Arts, Sciences, and Professional Studies.
The award was presented by Manager, Retail Services, Republic House Cluster Mc Kie Griffith. It includes a commemorative plaque and a TimeSaver account valued at EC$5,000.
Commenting on Alexander’s achievement, Griffith remarked: “At Republic Bank, we recognise excellence, and Anthony is most deserving of this recognition. Hopefully, this token can help put him on the path to developing a good savings habit, as he transitions to becoming a young professional.”
When asked how difficult it was to achieve his success, Alexander remarked: “It was a lot of work; but I knew if I put in the effort, I could do it.” His plan is to migrate to the US to pursue a degree in civil engineering.
