The Division of Agriculture in the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs & Local Government informs the public that 7 sheep were impounded in the Caco area in Carriacou on Friday, 19 March 2021.
Anyone in search of the animals should contact the Limlair Livestock Station at 443-7375.
Please note that there is a $25 daily charge for each, in addition to impoundment and transportation fees.
Unclaimed animals will be auctioned and sold 2 weeks after the impoundment notice in accordance with the Stock Trespass Act.
The Division of Agriculture is appealing to all animal farmers and owners to tie their animals to prevent them from destroying the property and produce of others.

They eat grass – yes, but who’s now responsible for making sure they get to the grass. Maybe the irresponsible owner can be let off the $25 and instead, tie them out to graze with the sheep for a couple days. Only those who have toiled in the sun and rain only to see their hard labor grazed to the ground by animals on the loose would understand
What the hell you need $25 a day for? They eat grass.
