Last week, Keith M Banfield Co Ltd (Banfields’) extended sponsorship to 5 schools, supporting sport as an excellent way for youth development and personal growth. The schools also received first aid kits containing items from Banfields’ pharmaceutical division.
Managing Director Michelle Gordon, presented cheques and first aid kits to St George’s Anglican Senior School (Hindsey), Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, Anglican High School, Presentation Brothers College, and the company founder’s alma mater, the Grenada Boys Secondary School (GBSS). She said, “I think it’s important for a business to give back to its community and being surrounded by schools it seemed the obvious choice.”

The company’s patriach, Keith M Banfield was a GBSS old boy, and the presentation was made on GBSS day, this year celebrating 133 years of educating the country’s young men.
In 1971, Claire and Keith Banfield started Banfields’, wholesaling tin foods, alcoholic beverages, fabric and haberdashery. This year, its 47th year of business, the distribution centre at Tanteen Terrace boasts a varied range of product lines, from windows and doors, household and consumer products.
