Police operations during the weekend resulted in a number of arrests, and several persons either bailed or having to appear before the Court in respective Magisterial Districts during the week.
Among these persons are David Hamilton, 45, Painter of Belmont, St George who has been charged for the 26 December break-in at the Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Grand Anse; and Andia Aird, 39, who is faced with a charge for damage to property.
Wayne, 50 years, and Wendell Sylvan, 27 years, both of La Fortune, St Patrick were charged for causing harm to each other. Facing similar charges are Osbert Richards, 21, of Dr Belle, Gouyave; and Vachel Edmund, 27 years of Café Beau Hill, St George. Apart from facing 2 charges of causing harm, Edmund is also facing a charge of wounding.
A charge of possession of an offensive weapon was slapped on Kim Allard, 32 years, while a charge of wounding was slapped on Anton Antoine, 31, Fisherman of Gouyave.
Also was arrested and charged was Miguel Charles of Mamma Cannes, St Andrew who was charged for housebreaking while a 16 year old in Carriacou was charged with two counts each of stealing and housebreaking.
A marine operation resulted in one fishing boat being intercepted and several items confiscated for investigative purposes.
Meanwhile, 3 persons including a female who are facing drug charges have been bailed.
Kinda Creft, 32-year-old Hairdresser, and Tom Alexander, 39 years, Welder have been charged with possession of a control drug and possession with intent to supply while Lennard Carl Gregg, 42 years, Welder, has been charged with possession of a control drug.
They are due back in Court on 24 March 2016.
