Two St George residents were arrested and charged, following an early morning fire in, Mt Parnassus, St George on Thursday, 21 May, 2015.
The fire, which was reportedly set to make clearance for the construction of a home, quickly spread out of control, resulting in a fire response from firefighters.
The men, Richard Smith, 59 years old, and Andrew Browne, 42 years, both of Mt Parnassus, are currently on $3,000 bail each with one surety. They have been charged for the offense of setting fire without giving notice in contravention of Section 147 (2) of the Criminal Code Chapter 72 (A) of Volume IV of the 2010 Continuous Revised Laws of Grenada. They are due to appear in Court on 11 June 2015.
