Patricia Maher is no longer the CEO of Digicel Grenada, and the company has announced the appointment of Ciarán Burke as its Chief Executive Officer.

A Digicel veteran, Burke has been with Digicel since 2006, holding various senior financial and managerial roles including the role of Chief Financial Officer at Digicel Barbados, a position he held for seven years. Ciarán went on to take up other roles and special assignments across the Caribbean including the position of acting CEO for Digicel Barbados, before being promoted to CEO of Growth Opportunities in the Eastern Caribbean, where he was responsible for all aspects of strategic acquisitions spanning TV, cable, fibre, submarine cable systems and other treasury and tax related projects.

“I am extremely pleased and delighted with my new appointment as CEO of Digicel Grenada. I look forward to working with such a dedicated and dynamic team to continue bringing state-of-the-art products, services, and personalised experiences to our valued customers here in Grenada,” said Burke. “Digicel Grenada has achieved solid growth to date and I look forward to continuing on that growth trajectory.”

Outgoing CEO, Patricia Maher, who is leaving the business to pursue other ventures, said she thoroughly enjoyed leading Digicel Grenada to the becoming the number one mobile business in the country. “My role as CEO of Digicel Grenada has been very rewarding. The people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique are absolutely fantastic and our loyal customers have been the pillar of Digicel’s success since its launch in 2003.” Patricia Maher, who hails from Ireland, said Grenada is now her second home and she intends to stay in the Isle of Spice. “I have met some extraordinary people and made many friends while growing the business in Grenada,” concluded Ms Maher.
