At the end of the 2nd year at their respective secondary schools, the 2 scholarship awardees, namely Chelsie Greasley of the St Joseph Convent – St George’s and Kazim Dottin of St Rose Modern Secondary School – Gouyave, were both promoted to form 3 at the commencement of the new school year on 5 September 2016.
The awardees together with their parents, and the principal, Mr Ian George of the St John’s RC School, from where the students received their scholarships, met on Friday, 2 September 2016, to examine and analyse their academic performance for the past year. They were both promoted to Form 3 having performed to a high degree of satisfaction.
Each scholarship is worth EC $1,500 per year for a full 5–year secondary school term.
The students conveyed, in Mr Mitchell’s unavoidable absence — their gratitude to him, for returning to his Alma Mater to assist in national development.
