The Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice of the World Bank Group is pleased to announce the first Massive Online Open Course on Crowdfunding for Caribbean Entrepreneurs.
The MOOC is an 8-week online open learning course funded by the Government of Canada under the Entrepreneurship Program for Innovation in the Caribbean (EPIC), which seeks to build an enabling ecosystem for growth-oriented and sustainable enterprises across 14 Caricom countries except Haiti.
Why this course?
Crowdfunding is an innovative, early-stage financing mechanism to raise capital from a large group of people, pilot new entrepreneurial ideas, and grow small and medium-sized enterprises. The Crowdfunding Massive Online Open Course for Caribbean Entrepreneurs will assist entrepreneurs to increase their knowledge about the potential of crowdfunding and how to build a crowdfunding campaign, through online training and targeted coaching.
Who should take this course?
The MOOC was designed for entrepreneurs from the 14 EPIC-participating countries with well-formulated ideas or prototypes who need to raise money and test their consumer-facing products or services.
