Five St George men who were allegedly involved in a spate of robberies have been arrested and charged.
Aldin Phillip, Keron Belgrave and Trish Warren, all of Grand Anse, Donnel Bonaparte of Mt Rush and Isaiah Jones of River Road, are facing various charges including robbery with violence, attempt to commit a crime, and, conspiracy to commit a crime, to wit robbery with violence and stealing from the person.
Phillip has been charged with 4Â counts of robbery with violence, 1Â count each of attempt to commit a crime and conspiracy to commit a crime, to wit robbery with violence.
Bonaparte, who was the subject of a wanted man bulletin, has been charged with 5Â counts of robbery with violence, 1Â count each of attempt to commit a crime and conspiracy to commit a crime, to wit robbery with violence.
Belgrave has been charged with three counts of robbery with violence.
Jones is faced with 2Â counts of robbery with violence and 1Â count of conspiracy commit a crime, to wit robbery with violence, and 1Â count of stealing from the person.
Warren has been charged with 1Â count of robbery with violence.
Most of the reported crimes occurred between November 2015 and 1 January 2016, during which a number of individuals and businesses were robbed.
Two of the suspects, Phillip and Bonaparte, were allegedly involved in the robbery of a St George businessman on 22 December 2015, during which cash in excess of $16,000 was reportedly stolen.
Bonaparte is also jointly charged with Jones in relation to the 28 December robbery with violence at the Chinese Housing Scheme at Mt Gay.
The 4 suspects, aged between 18 and 40 years, appeared at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 15 January 2016.
