The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) seeks to increase visibility in Canada, by engaging in a number of sales calls with the travel trade from Monday 14 to Friday 18 September, 2015. Chief Executive Officer, Mr Rudy Grant and Marketing Executive, Ms Renée Goodwin joined Director of Sales for the Canadian market, Ms Dawne Francois on Sunday to begin the week-long business meetings.
“Our main goal for the series of sales calls is to educate the Canadian travel trade about our destination. This will include sites, attractions, flight information, and accommodation. We especially want them to know that their clients can travel to Grenada from Toronto nonstop on Air Canada, and with connecting flights on Caribbean Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Airlines,” said Ms Renée Goodwin, Marketing Executive with responsibility for the Canadian market at the GTA.
The team will meet 21 travel agents and tour operators in Ontario to share destination information and product updates. In 2015, 77% of the visitor arrivals from Canada were residents of the province of Ontario.
Canadians visit Grenada for leisure, recreation, holiday, and business. This North American market also has Grenadian residents who frequently visit friends and family in the tri-island state.
