The Ministry of Health on Wednesday morning held its first ever Secondary Schools Immunization Week Road Relay. The relay was staged to raise awareness of the benefits of immunization, and took place in the nation’s capital on Wednesday morning.
It is the first time that the Ministry has organized a road relay to promote a health activity, and from all indications it was successful and students are looking forward to next year’s event.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Health with members of the St George’s Health Team headed by District Nurse Kathy-ann George-Swan, had organized the activity to create awareness of the benefits of immunization and to encourage individuals to get vaccinated.
